Hey Jeep experts!
New to the forum and been looking to join the grown men stage!
Looking at a 05 Laredo with 132k mileage for $5k.
Just really need some insight and expertise advice on what problems/concerns/issues I should be looking out for when I go check out this truck.

Re: 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

Hey dwitis, I also recently purchased a 2005 GC Limited with a 5.7L Hemi. I have about 20,000 fewer miles on mine.
When I bought it, I had it inspected by a dealership and they found only two problems: a bad hood shock ($13 at Auto Zone) and a worn left side inner tie rod (anywhere between $18 - $40). It cost about $100 for the inspection, and I'd recommend you have it done. They quoted me $310, including alignment, to replace my inner tie rod, and they can stuff that, lol.
I've heard about a lot of WK's breaking their inner and outer tie rods, so be wary of any slop in your steering or clunking sounds when you're going over bumps.
There's a wealth of online knowledge about this issue, and I am by no means an expert.
Enjoy your "new" ride!
