2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 6 cyl starting problems

Trying to see if anyone else has had this problem and came up with a solution. Bought the Jeep used with around 100k miles on it, for the first 4 or 5 months it ran perfect. Then it wouldnt start sometimes. Turn the key and would do everything except crank. Carfax shows the starter was replaced at 70k miles. Checked the starter and it was fine. Took it to my mechanic and he said it was the ignition switch. Contacted Chrysler and they said there was nothing they could do. So we waited a couple of days and found a recall for the ignition switch. So finally Chrysler decided to help us out and replaced the ignition switch. After getting the Jeep back it started with no problems for about 6 months and we know have run into the same problem. Had Chrysler once again look at it and all they would say is that the starter is bad. Jeep will start sometimes and sometimes wont. I have noticed that when it starts and I am driving it the drivers side turn signal and tail light will only work sometimes.... when its working the jeep will start back up if I shut it off and If not it will not start back up. Any Ideas would be much appreciated.

Also if it doesnt start I will leave it sit for 24 hours and it almost always starts back up.

Check the signal wire on the starter. It's the smaller yellow/black one. It's a common issue with them having a poor connection leading to the described issue. I recrimped mine and it's been flawless since. That was back in 2013. (I also have a 2008 3.7 grand Cherokee)

2009 JGC wouldn't start. Had a bad wire from the starter to the battery.

Well I tried to wiggle the wire that you stated when it wouldn't start and it would start every time. Recrimped the wire and has started ever since... Thanks for the help, you def saved me much time and money!
