2012 Grand Cherokee shifting

I just upgraded from a 2004 GC to a 2012 GC and I'm asking a dumb question. Is the shifting very different between these two vehicles? I can't seem to get used to when this vehicle will or will not shift. It seems like its shifting when it shouldn't or vice versa. No lights on the dash. I'm just hoping that it's the way the newer vehicles operate and there's not a lurking problem. I had my 04 for nine years so this 2012 is a major upgrade for me. Any help is appreciated.

the WK2 has a learning Transmission per say it learns your patterns it's more than likely still stuck on the previous owners. so it trys to predict when your going to give more gas etc.

If it really bothers you Undo the negative battery cable underneath the seat for 5 to 10 minutes then hook it all back up

this should reset everything.

Re: 2012 Grand Cherokee shifting

Thanks for the reply. I'm still learning everything this vehicle has and I'm glad there isn't anything wrong. Will it adapt to my driving style after a awhile or should I just disconnect the battery and be done with it?
