When I meant goes away and comes back I was referring to when people go get new shocks put on the the problem seems to be fixed for about a 1000 miles and then it comes back.

I have self leveling shocks too and got the noise after a week of driving, the dealer changed the shocks already 3 times . The first 2 times it did not help at all, the third time the noise was gone but only for about a week. Soooo tired of this. Such a shame for jeep. It's a brand new car at the end and they charge money for this package.

I drive a 2011 Overland and have had the shocks changed 4 times and if the shocks are the problem I need set #5.
The noise disappears after the dealer changes the shocks but returns after a month or so. I use the lowering function daily
and think that's what causes the problem. Dealer doesn't have any answers and Chrysler isn't talking.

I got a lawyer working on this because it is a rip off, I paid extra money for the package and what they gave me instead? Some clunky shocks? My friend's 99 toyota runs smoother. Let me know if someone want's to join. They have to give us a solution or an answer for this. It's a $40,000 car at the end.
The case should go to court in a few days.

Re: 2014 GC Limited rear shock noise

let us know how you go.
I got a nov 2013 build with the standard for AUS load levelling suspension (towing set up in the US) - not to be confused with the air ajustable suspension.

It started the rubber ball knocking sound after 500km. I figured i'd wait until there was a clear fix before complaining

its a shame as the car is slow quiet otherwise. My 6 year old falcon ute makes less suspension noise - but more other types of noise.

Re: 2014 GC Limited rear shock noise

Hi Steve. I have written to Jeep and have a complaint logged with Customer Services. They have asked me to be patient while they sort out a fix for the rear shockers. I am now losing that patience. I suggest you log a complaint with your service location and get in the queue for the fix. Whenever that might be. I will post my result here.... When I have a result. Apart from the noise everything else is fine.

How are they holding up Doug. They refuse to replace mine until they have a solution. Was it the continual balls in the bucket noise at low speed.
