Yes it does. But they already replaced everything you can imagine and no luck. So now i am going through the process of having my car replaced

Re: 2014 Jeep Cherokee cranking too long to start

Good Luck
Im at home right now waiting for jeep assist to tow my GC for third time. Car is 3 months old 8900 ks and stops without warning with usual engine lights on dash throttle body service, blocked exhaust etc. Last time dealer said exhaust was blocked with diesel soot , at 6000k !!, turned out to be a sensor. Now its happened again staring to sound like wiring etc. Tow trucks arrived.....

Oh man... Sorry to hear that. It was a nightmare for us too. Car was at the dealer for 30 days with 4 attempts to fix it. I actually just got off the phone because the dealer does not understand the replacement process and is giving me a hard time. Nobody deserves this with a brand new car!! Best of luck for you

These jeeps have a safety recall on the fuel pump relay Chryslers temporary fix is to put an external relay which will bypass the internal one until they figure out What they want to do as of right now the kits at the dealers fix this problem with are very scarce and they don't want to use them unless your car is completely dead if your car shuts off while doing 70 down e highway you will be in trouble

That is scary. I hope the 2015 model does not have this issue

Is the car being replaced?
Mine has been at Dealer since 10 Dec about 4 weeks with no part or fix in sight. Latest is Dealer says Chrysler wont say where part is or how to fix...so I will call C tomorrow for a result. They offered me a hire car for 2 weeks but said I had to pay $250 week for insurance so i declined it.
Next step is $ back or replacement or pay car loan costs until returned....

Yes. The car is being replaced. As of now the dealership is waiting for the final paperwork but the replacement is already there. I hope it only takes another week or two.

Re: 2014 Jeep Cherokee cranking too long to start

Got the GC back today after 5 weeks. The dec software update fixed it and no parts were needed after all. Everyone acted surprised and happy. I asked why it took so long......

Re: 2014 Jeep Cherokee cranking too long to start

A second new Car… Hope its a good one….. is it another cherokee ? Any pics?
My GC still going after 3 weeks and software update also fixed the cruise control issue of not switching on for the first ten minutes each morning. Seems the software update corrected the computer perception the car was warming up too slowly……. Still enjoying it. Paul
