2014 WK2 Carwash Neutral

I will spare my absurd story as it infuriates me to discuss it, but does anyone know if there is a current effort by Jeep to modify the firmware for the shift interlock that would allow you to shut the engine down while in neutral, without having to disengage the differential first?

Re: 2014 WK2 Carwash Neutral

From the User's Guide:
If the shift lever is not in PARK, the ENGINE START/STOP button must be held for two

seconds and vehicle speed must be above 5 mph (8 km/h) before the engine will shut off.

I wonder if they meant to say under 5mph, but haven't tried it.
