2015 Jeep GC - switches into paddle shift mode on its own

Has anyone experienced their Jeep changing from "D" to paddle shifting on it's own. I have had in for service and no codes were detected and of course nothing happened when they took it for a test drive as it happens randomly. I have experienced it mostly on the hwy and it will go into paddle shift mode and can be revving at high rpm's when it happens. My hands are no where near the paddle shifters so I'm not hitting it by accident. Dealership also called technical support and no one has reported same issue. Would like to have it fixed!

I wouldn't be surprised if this is a problem with the steering wheel passthrough (clockspring). Anything that turns with the steering wheel is electronically linked through this connection.

Cheers,
Steve
