2015 JGC 8-Speed Transmission Issues

Hello,

I have posted about this before, but I am posting one more time in hopes that someone can offer up some solution that may help me. Quick background - I owned two 2012 JGCs (mine, my wife's) that were practically flawless (aside from fuel pump relay issues that were repaired around 30K miles. Recently traded in the 2 2012s for 2 2015 Limiteds, and thats where the fun starts. The driving experience between the two cars is night and day. In a nutshell, my car (Billet Silver) sucks. The transmission is a wreck. Lagging upshifts, especially after car is parked, and just a downright quirky tranny. Started getting weird at about 900 Miles. Had the TSB Flash redone at 1083 miles, was good for about 700-800 miles, now bad again. Eco/eco off - makes no difference, it feels like im driving an anemic, powerless vehicle. My wife's car on the other hand (Max Steel) is spirited, nimble, light, and the shifts are "barely there." Its a pleasure to drive. Of course, when I took my car into the dealership and they flashed it, their conclusion was everything operating as intended. I just disconnected the battery yesterday - left is disconnected for about 45 minutes - in hopes that that reboots/resets this thing. It seems to be driving a bit better (still with quirks), but now I assume its back in "learning" phase for, what, another 1000miles? Supposed to take it back to the dealership Monday, but I canceled hoping that this thing will straighten itself out this week. Why cant they get my car to drive like my wife's? Of course, I called the salesman, and he told me to pursue lemon law - do a "substitution collateral" trade or something like. I really dont want it to get to that. I like my car, and the prospect of future multiple trips to the dealership to substantiate a "lemon" sounds like a pain in the ass. Thoughts?

Totally sucks! Lemon laws are there for a reason. Lemons get made and sold. Again it sucks and all states have different laws and enforcement. NY is good but other places, a nightmare. One of the reasons you hope you buy a car assembled on Tuesdays, or so the joke on American cars goes. Document everything. Don't try resetting anything or you could be accused of messing up something. That's just an in-general statement on purchases with bumper to bumper warranties. Best of luck.

Re: 2015 JGC 8-Speed Transmission Issues

52 days. That's the number of days my SRT was in the shop before it was lemoned. It was a major pain in the @ss, but in the end I got a new SRT that now runs flawlessly. Your going to have to jump through a lot of hoops, but I'm telling you it's worth it in the end. Don't settle for a flawed vehicle.

Valve body replacement did zero. Five delayed shift events in the last 30 minutes. Getting "hung up" from 1-2 or 2-3. Just called dealership. They'll get back to me.
