Re: 95 stalls randomly

If you want to start it, it has difficulties to crank? If so, check first the battery voltage. If low (<12V) charge it first and try to start. If it now starts normal, then let the battery and alternator be tested.
Furthermore could be a sensor, like the cam or crank sensor. Letting it scanned could maybe indicate a failed sensor.

What engine?
Mileage?
How long since the plugs and plug wires have been replaced?
How many miles on the Catalyst? Factory or cheapo aftermarket?
Crankshaft position sensor?
How much crud in the throttle body?

New battery, clean cables, or crudded up?

Got a cheap voltmeter?

After it stalled, did it turn over at normal speed, or really slow?
If slow, or lights dim when turning over, check the alternator, battery, and the battery cables.

It has the 5.2 and it has 238k don't know on the plugs and wires or the cat I don't know about the sensor and not a lot of gunk in the throttlebody new battery and cables are clean. Rolled over normal speed and when I can get it started it just stalls

Re: 95 stalls randomly

Did you already check if you have fuel pressure? There probably is a valve on the fuel rail on the engine, which you can press to check for fuel under pressure. If no pressure, check fuel pump relay first.(swap it with an other known good relay). Can you hear the fuel pump running for a few seconds when switching ignition in run? The noise level is quite low, so removing the gas cap could help.

Re: 95 stalls randomly

Yup checked all that had pressure and I could hear the pump running. I'm thinking it might be a crank sensor

Re: 95 stalls randomly

Crank sensor or cam sensor could be the problem, but if you have no idea how the plugs are and they probably be changed a long time ago, i would do a tune-up first. This engine still has plug wires as well, isnīt it, so they also can be bad.
