TimDM is on a distinguished road
98 Wrangler Blowing 20 amp fuse.

My Wrangler engine stopped running in trafffic. I found a 20 amp fuse blown in the Power Distibution Box under the hood. The position is F21 next to the Fuel Pump Relay. I replaced the fuse and the engine started, but it has blown more fuses. I can not find what this fuse powers in my Owners Manual.
Does anyone know what this fuse is for?

Thanks Tim

Re: 98 Wrangler Blowing 20 amp fuse.

Hi Tim, not familiar with the wrangler, but some googling showed that the fuse is for the auto shutdown relay circuit, feeding injectors and ignition coil.
Look for shaved wire(s) at points where a wire bundle passes a corner or is running along metal part. Seems that the 4.0 has a wire bundle running at the aft side of the cylinder head where it is known to cause shaving.
