Re: 99 cherokee wont start

did you by chance hook the jumper cables up backwards for a second? Can you do the key dance and see if there are any codes?

No, my jump box has an indicator that tells you if its hooked up wrong before you turn it on. What is the key dance? I did get it running, i had to crank it while holding the gas peddle to the floor than once it started i had to keep it running for a couple minutes before it would idle on its own. Now it runs good. Any idea why?

Re: 99 cherokee wont start

Normal condition, when the battery is drained completely dead it is not uncommon for chrysler products to need a little help idling until it relearns its idle.
