A/C not going south I pray....

Ok, the bosses (wife of course) air conditioner has gone sour, 2005 Grand Cherokee Trail Rated Hemi. It still blows cold but not the way it should. Checked the pressure and it's on the high side (red) Although it's a 2005, it's still cherry with only 110,000 miles and a good factory paint job so it's not going anywhere. Any possibly easy solutions? Also an occasional rattle in the a/c vents, probably a bad valve?

How did you check the pressure? If the pressure is too high, the compressor will shut down sooner then normal and you will get less cold air.

Thanks for your help Frank, I purchased a can of coolant and the pressure tester was attached. I connected it to the low pressures side, right in front of the cabin wall on the right side and it read in the red zone. Instructions with the coolant said have it checked if it read high.

If the Lowside is reading above 55-60 Low Side Suction Pressure Coil temp will be higher than normal Sounds like it's either got a restriction or Over charged.

You need both high and side pressures to tell entire story.

Clean your condenser coil basically the unit in front of the radiator. see if it changes anything
