Re: Alarm sounds when cranking - Jeep turns off

Some water leak from the windshield or even water entering via the antenna cable where it enters the cabin, could be a possibility. Use a waterhose and spray water over the jeep and inside the passengers front wheel bay and check if you can see any drops on the inside.
What i ment with receptacle was the other end of the C200 connector which is fixed to the bulkhead. Maybe that moisture can enter from that side. Some silicone could help there.

Re: Alarm sounds when cranking - Jeep turns off

Hi,

Thanks for the info again.

I'll do as suggested. Like before there wasn't much water in the C200.

I'm not sure if its due to heavy rain this week or if its accumulating over time.

Could it be condensation or leaking from the A/C system?

Thanks for the help.

Jamie

Re: Alarm sounds when cranking - Jeep turns off

Hi Jamie, also not sure what the cause is. But a bit of moisture can already be enough to cause troubles. Didnīt you use dielectric grease before assembling the C200?
I expect that the source of the moisture must be found above the C200 connector. Heavy rain most probably was the cause. Maybe that you will find something when spraying the jeep with a waterhose.

Re: Alarm sounds when cranking - Jeep turns off

Hi,

Thanks for the quick replies.

Yes, I used quite a bit of the dielectic grease last time. But I'll start looking for the cause as you suggested. I'll post again soon.

Thanks,

Jamie

Maybe here? The orange stuff is RTV I spread around when I was having a similar leak. I just used orange rtv because I had it laying around, you could probably use something else.
It doesn't leak anymore, though I probably could have been a bit more tidy with it. Mine is a ZJ but yours might be similar.

If it's not that and does end up being a clogged AC drain, just Google "wj ac drain" and all kinds of info will come up air how to unclog it and prevent it from draining into your Jeep again.

Cheers!
