Anyone here had this happen or know anything about it?

Saw this on the jeepsunlimited forum. Scary!
What do you guys think about using a needle to inject the ball joints with grease?

the parts they put in vehicles now are really "non serviceable". in theory, you could do it, but that would put a hole in the little boot thats meant to keep things out. best thing to do is just buy new ones (cheaper to stay away from the dealer) and have a shop install them, or do it yourself if you have the tools.

You could pop the rubber boot and pack it with grease, then put the boot on again. I wouldn't make a hole in the boot.
