Autostick Not Working!

Hey new guy not sure of this is the right place to post this, but I have a 07 Jeep Grand Cherokee and my autostick isnt working. I was using it the otherday and it worked perfectly fine, but next day it stop working. I tried to shift and nothing. Does anyone know how i could fix this or is this something I would have to take to the dealer for? Thanks!

Re: Autostick Not Working!

My auto stick was so difficult sometimes, it seemed like it had a mind of its own. I have a 2007 too.

I have read various things of what causes auto stick problems.

Only after my replaced torque converter and rebuilt transmission did it work like its supposed to.

I don't ever use it when its really cold out though, it's pretty sluggish in the cold, but once the Jeep warms up its good to go.

Re: Autostick Not Working!

I'd bring it to the dealer - you're still under factory warranty I'm guessing? Good luck!

Re: Autostick Not Working!

Thanks everyone for your replies. It's the strangest thing because it seems like the truck doesn't even sense me moving the stick left or right. It just stays at "D" and the truck keeps going like nothing ever happened. No issues otherwise though! Would maybe disconnecting the battery for a few minutes maybe get it to reset?

Re: Autostick Not Working!

Shoot, can anyone comment on this problem or how it was resolved. I have an 07 SRT8 and just noticed tonight autostick is not working just as described in this thread. I am certain it worked about 2 weeks ago.
