Chip in glass in Sunshine QLD

Hi all, I took my pride n' joy on a trip to Sunny coast, however just before I joined gympie hwy, encountered a nasty rock that was flung onto the windscreen and I am now a proud owner of a superficial chip <5c piece sized over -7cm away from the edge of the glass

As I am currently in Noosa, can any one recommend a glass repairer, or what is the price on one replacement (I think Jeep was having issues with replacements ?)

Over here in the States, most insurance companies will pay to repair glass chips for free, don't know how it works over there, though.

Nope, nothing is done for free, if I did want to repair a chip in the screen I'd have to pay excess, so I decided to do it me self anyways

Re: Chip in glass in Sunshine QLD

There should be an option in your insurance for excess free windscreen replacement. Of course it will increase your premium a little, but it was only a very minor effect on all the quotes I got.
Well worth getting this as the screens are about $2000 so you will run into full excess if you need it.

I have been shopping around for insurance for my yet to arrive SRT and for about $40 extra per year you can get ALL GLASS replacement in your insurance.
