Re: Clunk noise help.

The Jeep dealer is NOT your friend!!! Or any dealer for that matter. I try and do everything to my car myself, I would rather take a day off work and repair it myself(taking a paid sick day) than pay insane prices of a dealership or even a shop. Two years back my 94 GC would not start in my driveway in the winter so I called my Triple A when my battery was dead from trying to start it so many times where the kid charged it once only to tell me he was busy with calls and have it towed somewhere or he was gone, I finally walked to a local shop where the guy said he would take a look at it if I get it towed charging me $75 just to look at it, so I called triple A to come tow it, then another guy came and he said he would give it a shot starting it, he ended up spraying a full can of starter fliud in the intake but it finally started. It cost me zero, all because this guy knew what he was doing and willing to take the time on it. Ended up I had water in the gas lines or something. I gave that guy 20 bucks to get a case of beer on me for being such a help, he gave me his cell number if I ever need any help again.

Re: Clunk noise help.

Tranny shop would be your cheapest if your not going to do it yourself. sux with the cold weather now and you dont have a garage. If it is in fact the TC order it cheap from above then have them just install it for labor.

Re: Clunk noise help.

IMO...the SRT wheels had no affect on the TC. They are the same diameter as the stock 17's and a little lighter or heavier....depends on who you ask......who knows.....it may have just been that TC's time. I've had the SRT wheels for 3 years and i currently have double the hp of a stock 4.7 and mine is perfect...so its BUNK to me.
