Cluster gauge will flash when driving...

Hello,

I'm experiencing a problem with my jeep and maybe someone else has experienced it and can share some insight into what might be the problem...

The problem started happening right around when it started getting cold. Only when I'm driving will the cluster gauge flash ( like when first starting the vehicle). It doesn't happen all the time, maybe once or twice every few weeks.
any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Cluster gauge will flash when driving...

This issue has come up on 2006 WK and XK models. You need to see if any trouble codes have been tripped (visit to dealer unless you have a code reader). If codes B2100 come up in the Front Control Module and B212D in the Occupant Restraint Controller, then the ignition switch is most likely at fault and will need to be replaced.

Re: Cluster gauge will flash when driving...

Mine did for awhile,I just turned down the dimmmer switch one notch and the problem went away. I assumed it was the turn signal/headlight/dimmer stalk but maybe not.

Re: Cluster gauge will flash when driving...

It only does it when its really cold out, like anything below 20. I plan in taking it in before it gets cold again. It was more annoying than anything else.
