cylender number3???

can you tell me what number three is? from the front or back of enginewhat is 3. Getting a misfire code on 3. Need to know which one so i can check it!! Thanks !!!!

Is Jeep contrary to every other engine manufacturer in numbering cylinders from the rear (ie Flywheel end)??

Every engine I've worked (admittedly not many Chrysler products) numbers cylinders from the front, ie Harmonic balancer end.

3rd from the front... they go front to back with numbering.

Yeah but if you're going from the front, it'd be #3 and if you're counting from the rear, it'd be #4
