Spark plug wires on 99 Grand Cherokee?

Hey guys,

I'm running into an issue where on my 99 Grand Cherokee, I have an engine with sparkplug wires, cap and rotor. Now, apparently this shouldn't be possible however, I live here in the UK (with a right hand drive Jeep..ya, wierd, I know), and was wondering if any of you might know if there was a difference between the two?

I did look at my neighbors Grand Cherokee. It's a 97, also a British model (steering wheel on right hand side) and also has spark plug wires with cap and rotor.

Thanks for any help!

Sounds normal to me. If you're referring to yours not having coil packs, IIRC it's only the V8's that have them. My xj is a 4.0 and has plug wires etc and mine was an import from Arizona.

Hmm...mine wasn't imported...well, it was, but it was to the dealers here. It's a UK version jeep, not an American spec one.

Re: Difference between Domestic and Export Models to UK?

The engine's should be more or less identical, apart from certain set ups for emissions etc. California's a different engine IIRC
