door locks going crazy

I have a 2000 grand Cherokee. It suddenly started locking/unlocking as if I hit the key fob because the lights as well flash. This happens driving, or parked and off as well. Anyone else have had this issue and can direct me on where to start?

Re: door locks going crazy

Does it do it when you are further away from the jeep as well? Do you have an other keyfob to see if it behaves the same?
If it does, then the problem should be inside the jeep. Hit the internal lock/unlock buttons a few times and see if it makes any difference. A chaved wire or a loose contact could be the problem as well, but that will be fun to find. Could eventually be an internal problem in the passengers door module.

Hey thanks for the idea...it turns out that it was an electrical issue in my key fob. Removed the batteries and it has stopped. Simple fix for once!
