Electric problem wj

Hello I have a 2000 Grand Cherokee and have an electrical problem with it. Somehow underfoot lamps and head over to a permanent stay illuminated.
A little background. Vehicle after the theft. I replaced a computer and switch. I changed engine. I replaced the switch's console over your head. I do not have a remote control I wear only with key

Re: Electric problem wj

Will the lights dim when the left steering wheel switch stalk is dimmed completely? If so, I would check for a broken wire in the drivers door boot. Mainly the thick black ground wire breaks after flexing many times.

Re: Electric problem wj

The drivers for most of the interior lights are inside the BCM (body control module), some are inside the door modules. A battery disconnect can reset a frozen control module.
(if you still have the factory radio, then you will need the secret code to make it work again after the battery disconnect)
