97jeepcherokee is on a distinguished road
electrical issues

Hows it going? Ok I have a 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee laredo and have been having issues with some of the electrical stuff. To start it off my dome lights and keyless entry doesn't work, the key fob works fine but the doors won't lock or unlock also the gas gauge doesn't always read correctly and the check engine light illuminates every once in a while but will be off again almost in and instant. Next comes the aggravating part, My jeep decides to randomly die. I have changed battery after battery. I had the alternator checked and its fine, I've also changed out the starter on it. The problem is it still dies, if I don't drive it for a couple days then it will completely die no turning over nothing not even the clicking noise. Many people I have asked do not have an answer for me. Can some one please give some helpful advice please?

Re: electrical issues

It is sounding like you have numerous problems going on.

I sounds like you may have a BCM problem possibly... for the dieout I have seen a handful of ZJ grand cherokees with a failing PCM causing this concern. its sounding like there is an ignition off draw, it would just need to be tested, its nothing that can be performed or even speculated on over the interwebz.

Good luck!
