Electrical issues

Ok so I have a 2000 grand Cherokee. I went to Install some responder lights (fire dept) and the had everything wired up and was going to pull my power from the power acc fuse 20amp I believe. Soldered the wires to the switch so on and so forth. When I put the switch in its respected hole everything started smoking. Pulled everything off in a panic and started looking to make sure I hadn't messed anything up. Now my radio, a/c controls, cig lighters or dome lights do not work. The board has power to it because the lights are coming on just not the display on the radio or a/c controls. Checked the fuses and the power to the fuse block... Nothing so I replaced the fuse block and bcm and still same issue. Please help!

Re: Electrical issues

Welcome to the garage.
It will make our lives easier when you give exact fuse numbers.
Just checked the wiring and fuse 9 (20A) on the junction block is fed via fuse 15 (50A) in the PDC under the hood.

Re: Electrical issues

From my jeep service manual. Bought mine, but you can find them cor free online. Look for your build year, because there are some small but sometimes significant differences.
