Re: ESP Issue. Traction Control? Help?

And you wouldn't be able to change your tire size with the predator. It doesn't let you pick per wheel, just one size if I'm not mistaken? I only messed with it once, but I don't remember seeing those kind of options.

Sell what you have now and start over. Even for a few months would cause your drive line to fail on you unexpectedly. I'm shocked that the system hasn't turned into a RWD and told you to service your 4wd system.

Re: ESP Issue. Traction Control? Help?

We're not sure the new rubber is actually the culprit yet.... that's why I'm urging him to return to his original rolling stock to check.

Well it wouldnt throw a cel, but all your traction control/esp/abs lights will come on indicating your abs is non functional, and generally they go out after a key cycle and the sensor is reading properly. So as long as your abs light is coming on when it does it it very well could be a speed sensor.

If it doesnt... well you have been told what to check.

Re: ESP Issue. Traction Control? Help?

Kyle are you trying to run the front tires a different overall diameter than the rear ones? If so switch back. If you can't switch back atleast pull that front drive shaft out like NOW to save your driveline! It will still hate you but won't cost you a t-case or diff.

The front tires are smaller then the rears in diameter...Only by 2.04%

I was told by several senior members on here, Im not gunna name names, that my tire size choice would be fine.

As well as anything over 4% would cause an issue, Im well under the 4% maximum.

Like I said, I'm not changing out anything until I figure out whats wrong.

Re: ESP Issue. Traction Control? Help?

Have you checked tire pressure? Max the fronts out and take a lb or two out of the rears and see if that helps...just a thought.

I have not done that.....The rears are actually set at 35. Where the fronts were set at 33-34.

Ill try out something. I've done reading online, and Ive read a lot of speed sensor issues on the 2005 WK.

So I'll swap back to the original rims and see if i have an issue.

What I don't understand is why I didn't have issues before this trip to the lake. I drive 100km.hr to work everyday, and never ONCE had this issue until I pulled the trailer to the lake.

from what I remember...you got the sizes "you wanted" because you wanted MORE sidewall because of the terrible roads in Canada. I remmeber people agreeing with you that "generally".....under 3% was acceptable

Who said anything about that Scott? These matters were handled under PM....

As for what I "wanted" that is not true. I was simply asking a question and people gave opinions. I originally wanted the 305 tire, but no. YUP there ya go
