Faulty cigarette accessory sockets

I have a 2014 grand Cherokee
I find that I keep having problems with the accessory/cigarette sockets. I plug in the Engels and they work for a while and then they stop. No blown fuse. I checked.

Wife takes it to the dealer they say no problem and then they work again????

Anyone else have this issue?

Re: Faulty cigarette accessory sockets

No but I would be getting aggravated. Does the rear accessory plug go out at the same time? Electrical problems can be a nightmare. Pulling the dash and checking leads for a short is time consuming and a PITA. Best of luck.

Re: Faulty cigarette accessory sockets

It's the year cargo one that goes out
The front one still works

Re: Faulty cigarette accessory sockets

I figured yo meant the rear cargo. Probably a shorter wire in the harness going back towards the sub woofer or taillights. A voltmeter and following it back should sort that out. Look for the spliced wires and electrical tape. Something probably gave way.
