Fuel gauge not working

Hi I just got my wj jeep GC after it been in the shop over a year getting engine rebuilt and I started it up today and the fuel gauge is reading empty and I know there is fuel in it as I drove over the road and put some in is there a chance because it has not seen a servo or a lot of movement the sender in the tank could stuck and just need a clean or could it be broken any help would be grate

Re: Fuel gauge not working

It can be that the float is stuck in empty. You can try and rock the jeep sideways to try to free the float or put more fuel in it.
If this doesn´t work, then it will be time to start measuring the wiring, but first lets see if the previous will work.
