You change the setting in uconnect (Display/units) from Metric to US and it will show the pressure in psi.

Re: Grand cherokee2015 gear issue

Ok so I submit the car today and they said we have 2 options to go through this ..

1- transmission software update and keep it for a week to test.
2- if it didn't fix the problem then valve body

I recommend Option 3: take the car to the top of a mountain, put it in neutral, and push off the cliff

They did the same with mine here in UAE. Software first, then valve body.
Unfortunately software did not helped in my case, but valve body did

Glad you got it sorted.

Ya I'm in bahrain and they just called me from the main office in dubai and said if it didn't help out we will change the valve body so I'll keep monitoring ... Hopefully no need to change the valve body..

Re: Grand cherokee2015 gear issue

As mentioned, they changed my valve body a couple of months ago.

But what's troubling is that when they replace these valve bodies, they aren't replacing them with newer, defect-free units. They are merely replacing them with like-for-like as a measure to avoid having to replace the transmission.

Think about it- does that mean that there is a valve body defect in thousands of the vehicles? If so, where is the recall? Right now, it's only done in response to customer complaint. How many JGC drivers aren't getting their valve bodies replaced because they don't know any better? They just assume this is how the car is meant to drive.

Does that mean that the same problem ends up coming back once the new valve body is subjected to a couple thousand miles of driving? Likely, since my car is shifting strangely again.

Re: Grand cherokee2015 gear issue

I just disabled my hill start assist and I don't know if it's in my head, but my car is driving like a different car.

It's driving lighter and doesn't seem to be hesitating to get out of 1st gear.

Has anyone tried this? Is this in my head?
