Hard starting 6.1

Starts but sounds likes it misfiring. Runs like that for a couple minutes then smooths out.

No, I live across the street and I'm an iron worker! Thanx for your input.

Re: Hard starting 6.1

ok ok, sorry, in my defense there is a lot of spam that hits the forum and people don't typically log onto a forum and put a picture of their address in their signature before their first post... None the less you clearly did, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Moving on, do you notice anything else? low fluids? any engine noises? when was the last tuneup (ahem, sparkplugs)? any other issues you notice any other time while your driving?

I am sure you completely understand but if symptom diagnostics was easy there would be no reason for half of the tools in my tool box, so the more info the better.

Re: Hard starting 6.1

I'm going to start with plugs, just brought this thing home. No interior lites and a shifter issue. Got a decent deal so I'll tinker .

Re: Hard starting 6.1

Perfect, let us know if that helps at all. make sure you inspect your coil boots really closely for any carbon tracking, or oil! Could be dealing with a bad valve cover gasket.
