Headlamps heat cracked
I just got back from a trip that involved me doing some night driving. No big deal. During my drive there were a few sections where I used my high beams, but no longer than maybe 5 minutes at a time.
I noticed on my way back home that my driver's side headlamp is heat cracked in front of the high beam bulb. I have the HID headlamps, and the HID side is fine, but I have about 3 or 4 small 3/4" cracks in the middle of the lamp.
That is crap! I would have never guessed that with such little usage, the high beams would do that. Maybe hours at a time, but that's ridiculous.
So I guess that the only thing I can do is replace the headlamp. I know they aren't cheap but I haven't been able to locate any. I tried j4j.com but they didn't have any listed. I browsed the for sale section and there is nothing recent.
Anyone else have this problem and know where I can pick up a headlamp at?
