heat vs cold issue please help

I am a new owner and just bought my first vehicle..2008 Grand Jeep Cherokee ltd, love this vehicle but when you turn on the heat, the drivers side heats up but no heat just air blowing out of the passengers side and it is causing my passenger not to be to happy. I am not sure how to tell if it is the blend door or the recirculation door. How do I tell this?

Re: heat vs cold issue please help

The heating is controlled by the blend door. Normally all air passes the heater core, but the blend door can guide some or even all air through the heater core.
The recirculation door is the one which shuts the outside air off and let only the air in the vehicle to re-circulate inside the car.
