help please

yes can anyone help answer this question ? i had a used transmission put in and now my speedometer works and also bounces all over the place all other dash components or gauges work . just take it back to who did the job as i do have a warrent and i just picked it up Friday and it cost me 1792.00 dollars should this be covered under warranty , the speedometer worked before fine.

Which vehicle are we talking about?
Not sure on all jeeps, but on the WJ the vehicle speed signal comes from the rear wheel ABS sensors, via the ABS controller to the PCM and then to the speedometer. Transmission itself has no input on vehicle speed indication on the WJ.
But it could be different on other jeeps.
