If you need anything Ryan let me know...I havent owned one but know the ins and outs of them pretty well...and also know what works and what doesnt. Also have several ZJ owning buddies. You may also want to reach out to Z88Z aka John. Tell him I sent you. He has like 6 ZJs

To check and see if the Piston is bad, I'll bring a Compression Tester.
Paul don't fall for that vc crap. It's BS Every quadratrac ZJ I've ever driven and it's been a few have had bind at full lock on pavement. It's just the way they are. This vc stuff has gotten blown way out of proportion over the years. That's all you used to hear about on all of the old forums. As far as the misfire goes Magnum engines hate cheap plug wires.I've already put new cheap wires on a ZJ and had misfires.A good quality tuneup should take care of that.Around here 5.9s in any condition sell for well over 2k and the mileage might not be as bad as you think cause I see a tow bar setup on there.Probably a lot of those miles are from being flat towed behind a motorhome.

Re: Interested in a ZJ 5.9L with Cyl #8 Misfire Need Help

That's what I was thinking with the Quadra-Trac? But hey I could just say that and lower the price that way. Haha My previous 94' ZJ had Quadra-Trac and it would do the same thing too. I called the guy up today, he doesn't seem very cooperative. I asked him to text me pictures of the Jeep and he said he would be happy too, but he never did....So I texted him and I haven't gotten a response in 5 hours....lol

Re: Interested in a ZJ 5.9L with Cyl #8 Misfire Need Help

Okay I found out some more information. He says he want's to get it as close as he can to $2,000. He said lowest he can go is $1,700. I'm thinking maybe I'll pass on this offer and maybe find another one with lower mileage.

-Tires are 40%
-New Transmission put in last year (He says he has paperwork)
-Sunroof DOESN'T work
-Headliner near the sunroof is coming down
-They guy told me that he thinks it was pulled behind a motorhome because of the Bar below the front bumper
-Brakes are good
-Has no body work
-No Dents
-Has Misfire on Cylinder #8 (Can Prove it with his friend OBDII)
-A/C Has been recharged in the beginning of the Summer
