I have a 2011 WK2 with 104000 miles. It has already had the TIPM recall done and has the external relay work around. Recently the jeep has been taking a bit longer than normal cranking before it starts. I have noticed that if I put the ignition in the on position (press button twice with foot of brake) and wait for the fuel pump to finish running and then start the jeep it starts right away. Could it be that the pump is getting weaker and it doest have enough umph to pressurize the fuel rail enough during the time it runs before the jeep cranks in the normal ignition sequence?
I just had new spark plugs put in as part of regular maint. so that rules those out although I dont really thing they have anything to do with this.
I tried to look around the forum but any search with "WK2" and "fuel pump" in it points me to threads about the fuel pump relay issue with the TIMP but this is something different.
