Smile Jeep 2000 grand Cherokee 6 cyl 4.0l 3rd cylinder missfire at

Dear Members

I have problem with a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2000 6Cyl. 4.0L

As i cold-start the engine the 3rd cylinder misfire and engine run only on
5 cylinders untill the engine is hot and i restart the missing cylinder comes in
I have change the most common parts for this problem 1,rack coil
2. new sparkplugs 3.intake sensor 4. motor head ,thinking that the walves had carbon and oil leak on the spark plugs ,but still the 3rd cylinder misfire and the engine runs unstable as it is cold , WHAT COULD BE THIS PROBLEM??????

iN ADVANCE MANY THANKS FOR ALL SUGGESTIONS

Bieri

Welcome to the garage.
I would start doing a compression check on cylinder #3, to be sure its ok when cold.
What are the fault code(s) the PCM has stored? Most probably the P0303 (cylinder #3 misfire), but is there more? You could swap the injector #3 with an other position and see if the fault follows.
So if the engine warms up, cylinder #3 doesn´t start working by itself? You have to shut down and restart the engine to get it working? If the previous is ok, i would say that the problem is with the PCM.
