Re: Jeep Grand Cherokee hemi cooling fan

So most probably the solenoid is stuck in one position now, need a new one for that. Bleeding the hydraulic cooling fan is very simple, just remove the engine coolant sensor connector and the PCM will command the fan to full speed, taking all air back to the reservoir in no time.
Have a look into WK parts, because i know for sure that for the WJ its not sold separately from the motor assy anymore and you have to dig out big cash for that unit. I believe the solenoid from Ford cost around $ 150, they have it on e-bay. But as told , the connector is different.

Re: Jeep Grand Cherokee hemi cooling fan

It should be a part for the Ford Lincoln LS.

Re: Jeep Grand Cherokee hemi cooling fan

Thank you. I will have a look and maybe buy that. I will take the solenoid out first and test it.

Re: Jeep Grand Cherokee hemi cooling fan

Maybe a good idea to have a look at a junk yard and get a solenoid from there, together with connector.

Re: Jeep Grand Cherokee hemi cooling fan

That might work too. The junk yards over here are pretty useless with Jeep stuff though.

Re: Jeep Grand Cherokee hemi cooling fan

But you could look for a ford lincoln and get the solenoid with connector.
