Jeep grand cherokee trouble

I'm looking for advice on my Jeep I've been working on it for about a week now. My Jeep is running on low rpms and when I brake it starts to big down and sometimes die out. My battery is going bad so I don't know if that could be the problem but I've done a full tune up on it and its still doing it. Any above our toss would be very helpful. Thank you.

Re: Jeep grand cherokee trouble

Year and engine might help if somebody has seen this before.

Re: Jeep grand cherokee trouble

Did the symptom change after the tuneup?

How long has it been doing this?

Is it running really poorly causing it to idle low or is it running smooth just really low rpms?

Check for your plug wires in proper order, check your vacuum, if you have the ability, plug the pcv valve and the breather on the other valve cover, remove the dipstick and measure for vacuum on the dipstick tube. If you measure ANY vacuum here its time to repair the blown plenum plate gasket.
