Re: Jeep help

The more specific you can be with what is happening, the better we can help. Does the starter motor turn over when trying to start, or not even that? The key light is for the SKIS system (sentry key immobilizer system). If the light flashes, then there is an invalid key. If its steady on, then the SKIS has found a system fault. You should still be able to start the jeep, but the engine will shut down after a few seconds running.
Is there any other strange thing happening? For example, do the power windows work normally?

Re: Jeep help

A steady SKIS light means a fault in the system, normally not the key. If it doesn´t see a valid key, it should flash the SKIS light. Best would be to have it scanned using the DRBIII scanner, then it will show what is the reason for the SKIS light to stay on.

Re: Jeep help

Was the SKIS light still on, or did it go out after moving the tilt steering wheel? Could be a wiring problem, ignition switch or maybe something with the SKIS receiver antenna, which sits around the ignition key cylinder.

Re: Jeep help

Due to the intermittent caracter, i would expect more a wire problem.

Re: Jeep help

Yes, but the PCM must be reprogrammed for that.

Re: Jeep help

You replaced the cam sensor for what reason? What did you do when the P0320 code showed up? Seems that your problem is the crank sensor. Which engine do you have?
