Angry Jeep Liberty wont start after driven HELP !!

Hi guys please i need help i went i have a 2009 Jeep Liberty i cant even enjoy cause of this problem, So everytime i drive for a good amount about 10-20 minutes and once i shut the car off and go to get out get gas or school the store market ANYWHERE come back it does not start back up until 10-15 minutes it cools down i guess. i went to jeep spent almost 800$ they told me it was needed a tune up, update the computer software, change spark plugs so there i am spending money i need for school. i drove home from Jeep Mopar happy its all fixed once i go to get gas come back same problem went back next day they said they cant figure out the problem cause theres no engine light so they took my money for no reason and very rude. Today i went to a local mechanic he said its the crank sensor and ofcourse i fell for it again paid 180$ and same problem less than an hour Please im begging help me guys find the problem. just a student trying to get to school and work this sucks. I posted a video please watch see what i mean. i cant be waiting 10-15 minutes in the cold to start back up.

Re: Jeep Liberty wont start after driven HELP !!

Without any failure code it will not be easy to find the problem. Eventhough i won´t expect a fuel delivery problem, i would at least check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail. Actual pressure is not important at the moment, just to be sure there is fuel. There is a schräder valve on the fuel rail. Press the core to open the valve and check that fuel under pressure comes out. Use a rag to catch the fuel and protecting gloves to not have the fuel odor on your hands for the rest of the day.
My first thought was also the crank sensor, but if the tacho shows rpm while cranking, it should be fine. Do you smell fuel from the exhaust after trying to start?

Re: Jeep Liberty wont start after driven HELP !!

If fuel under pressure comes out of the schräder valve, i would swap the auto shut down relay with an other. Don´t know the position on the liberty, but it should be in a fuse/relay box under the hood. You can swap it with a non important relay such as horn relay, it should be at least the same type of relay. If this solves the problem, then you just have to change the relay for a new one.

Welcome to the garage. How did the plugs of cylinders 2 and 3 look like? Where they wet with fuel or any strange color? Did you swap the coils between cylinders? Did you try to swap the injectors as well?
I would also have a look at the rocker arms of the exhaust valves of the cylinders 2 and three. They can fall out if the hydraulic lash adjusters are bad.
The problem can be with the computer. If your jeep has the SKIS system (security key imobilizer system), then indeed the secret code must be programmed into the computer. If not done, then the engine will start, but after a few seconds will shut down due to the missing valid key information.

Re: Jeep Liberty wont start after driven HELP !!

The two rockers which fell off where from cylinder #2 and #3? Did you find any reason why they fell off? If the lash adjuster is shot from the exhaust valve, it can still show a good compression. An other reason that a rocker falls off is after a valve seat drops. This can happen after overheating the engine.
For programming the computer, you will need a special scanner. There are repair shops online who can send you a pre programmed computer, but i wonder if the SKIS code is put in, or if the SKIS is disabled.

Re: Jeep Liberty wont start after driven HELP !!

The P0352 code shows that there is a problem in the primary or secondary side of the ignition system of cylinder #2. Did you measure if the 12V is available at the coil while cranking? Did you measure the negative wire from the coil to the PCM? If this all is good, the problem should be in the PCM.
