Left Driver Mirror Fell Out

I came outside this morning and when I closed my door, my mirror popped out from the left driver door mirror. I went to Staples and bought super glue and some sticky pads and attempted to put it back, but it didn't work. Nothing worked. It won't go back in. I only saw two metal clips behind the mirror. It won't stay in. Can I just replace the mirror piece or do I have to replace the whole assembly? This pisses me off now that i have to have tape holding it up. I have a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee w/ AUto Dim, Heat, and Memory. THanks

If I have to replace the whole assembly what year WK mirrors can I buy?

If I can replace the mirror piece where can I buy one?

Re: Left Driver Mirror Fell Out

I tried putting it back in! lol I Fawked up. I tried to superglue the damn mirror. I got frustrated. Then I got some double sided think tape and superglued that the base where it makes the mirror move.

When can I pass by the shop?

Re: Left Driver Mirror Fell Out

Mine popped out during an off road trip...just hanging their after I hit a cactus.

I popped it right back in and the power motor still works too as well as the defrost.

Re: Left Driver Mirror Fell Out

When it was hanging, I saw only 2 metal clips. I will try and put it on in the downwards position.

Re: Left Driver Mirror Fell Out

this just happened to me... sorta, my ma was driving the car and touched mirrors with another car while going around a double parked car and the glass fell out and cracked, been looking to find a cheaper place to buy it, the motor and everything else works, its just shattered. $45 for a small piece of mirror sucks, but i guess if thats it then...
