Liberty KJ 3.7L starting issue

Daughters Liberty will intermittently not start. Runs fine when running, but when she stops it sometimes just cranks and she has to wait 5 to 10 min before it will start ? Have had the crank shaft position sensor and fuel pump replaced and issue was not resolved. Has about 80k miles. Would appreciate any input on other potential causes or fixes.

Re: Liberty KJ 3.7L starting issue

Welcome to the garage.
Do you know if the fuel qty indication is normal when it doesn´t want to start, or is it on 0? A shorted data bus can prevent it from starting.
You can try and put a cold/wet towl on the PCM (powertrain control module) and see if it starts sooner. If so, the PCM is the problem.

Thank you Fango. I will have her see if that works to isolate the issue.
