no power to blend door servo.

Hi, had the dreaded no heat only cold air or vise versa problem on my 2003 jeep grand cherokee, 2.7 diesel united kingdom model. when investigating the through glove box way of fixing this problem i noticed that the plastic was already cut out, sure enough it has been fixed in the past. problem i have is i noticed the blend door nearest to me was not moving. there is no measurable voltage at the terminal connector. the furthest blend door is working great. it all worked perfectly when i purchased the vehicle in July. checked all fuses, found number 26 15 amp fuse had blown, this fixed the cigarette lighter but still no voltage at the servo. cant understand has the other blend door working fine. just got it parked in the hot air mode for now, getting cold here now in blighty. has any one else experienced this problem??? cant seem to find an answer on the net to this. Thanks, Scouse Jeep.

Re: no power to blend door servo.

Update to this problem, did the reset sequence, turn on ignition but not start. turn blower control to auto, turn ignition off, disconect negative battery terminal for ten/twenty seconds. Reconect battery, turn ignition on, let the azc cycle through its stages. getting power to both servos now but they both end up in the upward part of the cycle. leave the controls for one minute or so, try to use the heating but the both blend doors stay up and do not respond, no control of air direction and just blowing cold air faintly through lower vent. disconect front servo run through the reset sequence again and i at least get the enginge side servo to work giving me some control over air flow. screen demist being essential. did the error check still getting errors. stuck now, beginning to think the heater control pannel is faulty, can get a second hand one for 30.00. any one else had these symptoms. driving me mad. thanks scousejeep
