Re: Oil pressure light
The oil pressure light is there to warn for a too low oil pressure. If this light fails due to a pressure switch or wiring problem, its still safe to drive. You only lost the indication, but you donīt know now if pressure will become too low. Normally this is not a problem, but best is to repair this as soon as possible. If you really have to drive it, keep the oil level in the safe zone and keep your ears open for strange engine noises.
You could first test the wiring by connecting the wire from the pressure switch to a known good ground. The light should come on then. If this is ok, you can be sure that you have to replace the pressure switch. Not an expensive fix.
