Quadra-lift Air Ride system Jeep Grand Cherokee
I just wanted to post my recent experience with the Quadra-Lift Suspension System in my 2012 JGC Overland 5.7 V8...Each morning when I came out to my vehicle i noticed my suspension was almost all the way deflated on the passenger front side. Tech found that the there was an problem with Air Ride block Valve...they reported the issue to the warranty coverage company and stated there was moisture in the valve...Note this is an extended Platinum Warranty..Manufacturer Warranty has run out. Warranty Company sent me along with the Dealer Coverage Denial FOR A BREAKDOWN WHEN CONTAMINATED FLUIDS CAUSED or CONTRIBUTED TO THE BREAKDOWN.
Their position was that I must have submerged the vehicle which caused water intrusion into the system and ultimately caused the failure...Prior to that moment, I knew nothing about the air ride system.
I was able learn as much as possible about the quadra lift system all on the internet and found that condensation can occur within the system itself. In Dryer failure the dryer, which functions to remove moisture from the air system, eventually becomes saturated and unable to perform that function. This causes moisture to build up in the system and can result in damaged air springs and/or a burned out compressor. I presented these findings to the dealer and Extended Warranty Company and requested immediate coverage and repair due to the fact that no Contaminated Fluid came from any outside source that has caused this damage other than normal condensation within the system itself. 7 Days into this, I have received a call from the Extended Warranty Company Management who has now approved and Warrantied this repair. Just some useful information that may help with anybody else having warranty coverage issues.
