Re: rusted hitch needs removal help

Heat, or maybe dry ice, on the drawbar (it'll be hard to get enough heat into the receiver without melting some trim I'd bet)

Re: rusted hitch needs removal help

A Guy brought a receiver to the shop last year that had the ball mount seized up real bad. We had to use a lot of heat and peace of heavy wall 2" tubing to beat on with a big hammer to push the ball mount out from the back. It may well be impossible to get the ball mount out without removing the receiver from your Jeep.
Good luck, Bugs

George Washington, our first president, said:
“From the hour the Pilgrims landed, to the present day, events, occurrences, and tendencies prove that to insure peace, security and happiness, the rifle and pistol are equally indispensable . . . the very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference – they deserve a place of honor with all that is good.”

Re: rusted hitch needs removal help

Chain the hitch to a tree and hit the gas! I have done it many times. Has worked every time.
