Service 4wd Warning
2014 Summit Hemi Hope this helps someone!
All was fine and I may have been a bit liberal with the gas pedal.
Its all under warranty what the hell (NOT)
Traction control light came on and then service 4 wheel drive warning appeared
I was able to make it go out by quickly pressing the traction control button before the main screen loaded and taking off in drive before the computer could realize it. And then push the traction control back on the warning would stay away for a while.
Talked to the service rep at the local dealer he suggested I do a 30k service, so I did.
(I normally don't let anyone work on my stuff but I don't yet have software)
$600 later for very little work they flashed the CPU for the ELSD Module from 05150734AB to 05150734AC (TSB 21-006-14) added $99 to my bill it was great warning was off and I began terrorizing the pavement once again.
100 miles later it came back on and my trick no longer worked...
So back to the dealer. They call and tell me it needs a rear diff actuator
and its not under warranty I said WTF $1000 its still under max warranty
from Chrysler so a lot of back and forth with them and Chrysler they find their error and it will be repaired for free, we'll see. They also charged me for the other TSB will deal with that after its fixed.
Service 4wd warning will make it shift strangely and not perform properly (limp Mode?) and your adaptive cruise control and traction control won't work.
I will post a follow up when I get the truck back after 200 miles. Thoughts? Comments? Advice?
