Question Snapped door pin :(

I was trying to tighten my billet door locks and snapped the pin/plasctic piece that holds the metal rod that connects to the bezel/lock. What parts do I need to buy? The rod seems bent so I prolly need a new one of those along with the yello plasctic tab below...please help. Anyone fixed this before?

I am a dumbass. Any help is greatly appreciated

Re: Snapped door pin :(

so it appears I need that black socket...can anyone confirm what comes with the below part#? And I am assuming that "right" means passenger side?

Re: Snapped door pin :(

upon further review I MAY be able to fix the black plastic piece that broke. Does anyone have any recommendations on what to use to glue the plastic tab back on? I have used all kinds of glue, I really like Gorrilla's product...but if you think an epoxy would work better please holla!

AND DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN YOUR BILLET DOOR LOCKS!!!!!

Re: Snapped door pin :(

Know anyone with a plastic welder or do you have a soldering iron?

It would be best to weld/melt it back together or just get a new piece.

Epoxy would maybe work for a bit, but it and gorrilla glue will fail eventually and most likely at the worst possible time.

Re: Snapped door pin :(

use the JB Weld stuff for plastic. its 2 tubes on a blister pack. it will work just as well as a welder/

Re: Snapped door pin :(

So I think I may have fixed it...plastic epoxy is my friend

First remove door pannel...wkjeeps.com is your friend

Unplug these two harnesses

Pull back the black molding...the adhesive is reusable which was a nice surprise

Tools used:

Then I used the little whole to drip the epoxy onto the snapped black plastic piece. I used electrical tape it hold it in general place, the. My hand to keep it secure while drying

Note the yellow clip that remained in the door...two out of the eight stayed on the door when I pulled the panel off...use pliers to remove the yellow clips and put back into door trim molding. It is drying now, I put 4 coats of the epoxy on there and will let it dry for a couple hours. Hopefully it holds
