Ok so I see 2 solutions. One new rad cap and/or hose clamp? It's easier to search threads w my comp opposed to my iPhone

Re: Spray outta radiator cap

Over pressurising the system. Cap is set to 18psi anything more and it will relieve the pressure as it is the weakest link.

Mine does it to. I'd rather have that, than blow a line or worse.

The only solutions I can think of that will safely solve the problem is to tap the overflow in the rad neck to a larger fitting allowing it to move more fluid faster to the overflow tank therefor relieving the pressure.

Re: Spray outta radiator cap

hi ,

you should not have any leaks from the cap, if you do then you might have one or more problems,
1-the cap needs replacing
2-trapped air in the cooling system have it bled
3-a blown gasket
4- your cooling fan might be faulty

hope this helps

Thanks for this, good info to know!

It's not the cap its the connector hose next to it. It just gets too much presuure sometimes and it sprays out. Kind of a fail safe!

Re: Spray outta radiator cap

I have the same issue when I drive the truck hard. Mine looks like it's coming from the rad cap, it sprays on the intake tube, etc
