Re: starting issue

First of all, is the battery good? Switch the headlights on and try to start, if the lights stay bright, the battery seems to be ok. If they dim a lot, it can be a bad or discharged battery.
If that is checked ok, do you hear a slight click from under the hood when trying to start? The starter relay sits in the power distribution center and should click when trying to start. If it doesn´t, swap it with the relay next to it. If sofar ok, then you have to check the small wire connector on the starter motor solenoid. The startermotor is mounted to the transmission bell housing. (see attached drawing)

Thanks Franco for your insight. The very next day my truck started andni took it to Advance auro to get my battery checked out. The salesperaon check the batrery and said it was fine..didnt seem ro have a relay problem. He suggest that with the extreme cold the starter may have had a clitch. Time will tell 😐
