Steal on Start Up 2014 Grand Cherokee Limited
Just spent 4 hours at the dealership and they could not recreate this issue.
The temps here in VA, USA finally fell below freezing for the first time this winter. For the last 3 days when I start the Jeep there is an ungodly loud squealing whine under the hood.
The sounds gradually lowers, then disappears after the engine has warmed for about a minute or two.
The dealer says the belt is fine, the pulleys are fine--and of course they couldn't reproduce the noise even after the vehicle sat in the cold 3 hours. They suggested it could be the alternator charging, but I have never heard a sound like this that was normal in any vehicle. I've attached a video of what it did this AM before I drove off to the dealer.
It does not happen after the car sits in a garage at work for 9-10 hours; only in the AM.
Anybody have a similar issue or a suggestion?
